He was born on 25.10.1980 in Calcutta of a lower middle class Brahmin family. Both of his parents were Teachers. His upbringing and schooling were from Howrah district. He got his schooling till Madhyamik standard from Sree Ramkrishna Vidyalaya, Shibpur, Howrah. He studied Higher Secondary from the reputed academic citadel Howrah Vivekananda Institution under WBCHSE. He Graduated from University of Calcutta with Honours in Political Science in the year 2004. Obtained Masters Degree in Political Science in the year 2006. He studied Bachelor in Law and obtained LLB (3 years) from School of Law, Vani Vihar, Utkal University in the year 2009. Obtained Masters Degree, in Economics, with specialization in Regional Economics from School of Economics, Vani Vihar, Utkal University.
Enrolled as an Advocate from Bar Council of West Bengal in the year 2009 and practiced in Howrah Criminal Court till the first quarter in 2012.
He appeared in West Bengal Judicial Service (PSC) Examination’ 2011. He was selected in West Bengal Judicial Service and as per the order of Hon’ble Court joined District Court at Howrah as a probationer on 24th July’ 2012, afternoon. He trained under Sri Dhiman Chandra Barman, the then Ld. Civil Judge (Jr Div), 4th Court, Howrah. His first posting was in Garhbeta, Paschim Medinipur as Additional Court of Civil Judge (Junior Div) and during his tenure at Garhbeta he was assigned with the duties of Court of Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court and also of the Court of Civil Judge (Jr Div) besides his own Court with proper notification. His next posting was in Darjeeling as Sadar Judicial Magistrate -cum- Principal Magistrate, Juvenile Justice Board of the District. After Darjeeling he transferred to District of North 24 Parganas at Bidhannagar as Judicial Magistrate, Bidhannagar -cum- Principal Magistrate, Juvenile Justice Board of the District. After a brief phase he was transferred to Sealdah within the District of South 24 Parganas as Railway Magistrate, Sealdah & Kolkata -cum- Judicial Magistrate, 4th Court, Sealdah. He was transferred to Birbhum District as Principal Magistrate, Juvenile Justice Board at Suri, which is presently a deputation post and he has been imparting child friendly justice towards his bounden duties for JJ (CPC) Act’ 2015, while monitoring the best interest of the children in conflict with law and also of the child victims, whenever there be a case and situation demand for necessary action for protection and shelter.
